Ritten Earth Pyramids

These impressive natural wonders are among the most beautiful in Europe and were formed from late Ice Age glacial till. You can find them in several locations on the Ritten plateau: in the Finsterbach ravine between Mittelberg and Lengmoos, in the Katzenbach valley below Oberbozen, and in the Ganderbach valley near Unterinn. The tallest pyramid reaches a height of 30 meters, while the oldest is over 600 years old.
