At 3,004 meters, the Kesselkogel is the highest peak in the Rosengarten group and is considered one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Dolomites. From Berghotel Piné, you hike through the Tschamin Valley (Tschamintal) to the Grasleiten Hut (Grasleitenhütte) and continue on to the Grasleiten Pass (Grasleitenpass). You should plan about 4 hours for this section. From there, it is just a few minutes to the start of the climb. The route leads across several rock steps, a wide scree ledge, and finally over a series of rock bands, allowing you to reach the summit without major difficulty.
Climbing time: approx. 2 hours
Elevation gain: 350 m
Difficulty level:moderate
